Seems like yesterday we would watch the Cowboys and eat some of the wonderful meals we put together at the Schmitt home. Karen always treated Justin like one of her own and we had a blast. God has helped us with our struggles over the years and Karen served the Lord joyfully & faithfully. Nancy and I pray that God would provide abundant grace to all the family but especially Bruce, BJ, & Brandon during this painful time. The Apostle Paul wrote in First Corinthians 13 about the gift of love. Karen loved her family with that great love described there. She was very quiet in many ways but love was evident in her home, church, & work. May each of us remember her love and share that same love til' Jesus comes!

I had the wonderful privilege to work with Karen at Elms Orthodontics for several years and treasure all the memories of our continued friendship. Karen was the most kindhearted, loving and friendly person that made us all smile with her delightful fun spirit. She was a Christian role model and loved God above all else. Bruce, BJ and Brandon, my thoughts and prayers are with you all that Jesus will comfort you now and in the days ahead.

I loved Karen! She was a blessing in my life and I had such joy getting to know her and Bruce at Christ's Harbor. What a great spirit. I know that Jesus was there to greet her as soon as she got to Heaven. I am so sorry for for the loss in Bruce's life, but know that he finds comfort that she is home in eternity now. Love to the family, Cheryl Berg Wineman and Tom Wineman

It is so sad to know that Karen is no longer with us. And yet, I know that the angels in Heaven are celebrating the homecoming of one of their own, for she was truly an angel among us.. I will always remember her infectious smile and personality full of love and caring. May God bless Bruce, BJ, Brandon, and the rest of her family during this most difficult time.

Karen, you were truly a bright light in a dark, dark world and I feel truly honored and blessed to have"met" you. Your friendship meant more to me than you will ever know. Though we never met face to face it didn't make my feelings any less real. Thank you seems like such an empty thing to say but thank you my friend for everything. The world has truly lost one of the most unselfish and compassionate people I know who truly lived their beliefs everyday instead of just mouthing the words. I love you Karen. BDKBQ

I had the honor to work with Karen when she worked for Dr. Elms and kept up with her on Facebook after she moved. Karen was the most Godly women I have ever known. She was a shining light. When my niece and nephew passed away she became friends with several of my friends and family members and continued to carry us in prayer. I am so sorry for y'all's loss, I can't imagine y'all's heartbreak. . I loved Karen and look forward to seeing her again in Heaven. Your family will be in my prayers.
