My Daddy was my greatest role model. He taught me how to love unconditionally and to show compassion and empathy towards others. He was also my hero. He once saved me from drowning when I was a little girl while on a family trip in California. I am here today thanks to his heroic efforts and will forever be grateful for saving my life.
My Daddy was also a wonderful, caring and hard-working man who always provided for his family first and foremost. In addition, he never met a stranger and lived for others by helping out through his kindness and generosity. I'll always remember that beautiful smile and caring heart that he had for people as well as animals.
My Daddy left a big void in our lives and life will never be the same again. My family and I had so many good times and memories that I will cherish forever. I love him with all my heart and miss him more and more with each passing day. He is gone but will never be forgotten! Rest in Peace, Daddy! Until we meet again...

I miss him dearly but my daddy will always live in my heart. I will never forget how much he loved God's little creatures, big and small. He taught me to love and respect them also. One of the things he asked me before he passed was to "continue helping stray and abused dogs...." he told me that "they have no voice" and "I had to be their voice." I will continue this legacy for him. My prayer from this day forward is that the Lord reunite us with our loved ones in Heaven so I can hold my dad again. I have faith that we'll be together again. I love you dad!

My heartfelt sympathy to my beautiful Tia America and her lovely family at this sad time. I will cherish all of the wonderful memories I have of Tio Juan. He was such a warm and welcoming person. He had an amazing laugh and was always so happy to put everyone at ease with a joke or a hug. A very special memory I’d like to share is that of my loving mother Marianita. Mother’s love for Tio Juan was unconditional. She would always tell us how much she loved her brother and how she held a special place of him in her heart. Mom took care of Tio as an infant by caring for him as his mother. She always had him with her to the point that people would ask her if he was her son. Hearing that made her very proud.
Mom shared many memories of her childhood with us but her stories of Tio Juan were very special to her.
The world has lost a good man and for that I am deeply saddened. May my Tio Juan rest in peace.

Our most sincere condolences to the Rangel family. My memories of Tío Juan are the times he would visit my Mother-in-law Marianita Garcia: Tío Juan was always in a very jovial mood and always smiling. When he opened America’s restaurant we would go after Sunday mass and go eat at their restaurant. There were always long lines but we would manage to get in for lunch. Tío Juan always made it a point to come out of the kitchen to greet us and then hurriedly go back to finish up the pending food orders for the customers. He was always a great cook and America made the best flour tortillas you ever ate. Tío Juan loved cooking and was always a great story teller. May he rest in peace and know that we will always keep him and the family in our prayers.

I don’t have memories of my Tío Juan growing up .
But I remember how excited my mom was to see him at her 90th birthday.

My sincerest condolences to my Madrina America and to all my primos, especially Johnny, Debbie, Cindy, David, and Robert. Padrino Johnny was always so kind to me. My favorite memory of him is when Dad took me to visit my padrinos. Moments from that day were seared in my memory and further anchored my curiosity and hunger for learning about classic and antique cars. Padrino Johnny allowed me to explore his beautiful cars without restriction, though I wasn’t allowed the keys. His generosity and all the beautiful and fun stories Mom and Dad have told me ensured I would never forget how amazing my Padrino Johnny is. Padrino, thank you for being a friend and guiding light for my dad. I assure you, the best knowledge you bestowed upon him, he has bestowed upon his family and friends. Rest in peace. With love, Victoria Galvan and family

My deepest condolences to my Tia America and to each of my cousins. I pray that God gives you peace and comfort.
I have a lot of memories of my Tio, but will share a couple. Whenever I fixed him a sandwich he always told me “ the proper way to start a sandwich is to make sure that the bread and its corners get mayonnaise”. To this day when I make myself a sandwich I fix it the proper way “ Tio Juan’s way”
He would have me help him wash his cars. Of course he gave me the worst task. Cleaning the white wall
tires, he made sure that all black marks were gone.
I’m going to miss him. I didn’t see him often because I live in San Jose, but I prayed for him and all my aunts and uncles all the time. Love you all and may God shine His face upon you and bless you always.
