My dear friend and spiritual sister was such a support for me when I moved to port isabel from Houston in 1986 as there was not much support in the english cong. But those faithful sisters were always there on their day off in service from the Spanish cong. Affectionately known as the faithful six, sister Portugal ,sister Alamo, sister Hamlin sister Suzy Azocar, sister Placida Hamlin mom, and sister Elena camacho. I’ll never forget their loving encouragement and support. Now they’re all safe in Jehovah’s memory. Love always my pioneer sisters.

Mom thank you for all your love, caring, and kindness. My memories of you will be forever treasured. There is many like waking up to greet you in the kitchen making us flour tortillas with smeared butter on them, bean tacos, or bacon and eggs. You would read to us the Bible text of the day before going to school. I remember getting up very early to go head shrimp at nearby fish houses, we walked there. We would make PB&J for our snack. We would use our earnings to spend at the JW assemblies. I loved watching you cook our delicious meals, I loved them all. Therefore I can say I am a great cook. I love you mom. Thank you for helping me buy my first new car and all the other things that you have done. Thank you for rearing me to be a responsible adult, loving, caring, and kind.
