Leroy Gonzalez, 53, of Los Fresnos/Olmito, TX passed away Thursday, 21, 2023, at Valley Regional Medical Center, in Brownsville, TX. Leroy enjoyed fishing and riding his Harley Davidson out to the Island. His true passion was his career as a Truck Driver. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mercedes Gracia; grandfather, Alonso Gonzalez, Sr.; grandmother, Enriqueta Garza Gonzalez; grandfather, Alfredo Rodriguez; great grandparents, Viviana and Estanislao “Tannis” Esquivel. He is survived by his mother, Rosa Guadalupe “Lupita” (Juan) Rosas; father, Alfonso Gonzalez, Jr.; siblings, Alfonso Gonzalez III, Victor Gonzalez, Jeffrey (Priscilla) Rosas; and son, Leroy Gonzalez, Jr. In addition, he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, September 25, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church, 9178 Tomas Cortez Jr. St., Olmito, TX with interment to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery.
