Eva Medina was received into the realm of glory on February 26, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a graduate of San Benito High School and received her BA from Texas A&I University. Eva worked in public relations at KGBT on the program, “Aqui Rogelio”, and was on the board of several community service organizations. She worked in data processing in Austin and later Iowa, where she was a manager at a health insurance company.
Eva was a role model for her siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews. She had exceptional organizational skills which she used in her jobs and at home with her mom and dad. She was always full of “great ideas”, and was very creative, with attention to detail. Gifts, and cards included embellishments and personal handwritten notes. Eva was smart, loving, kind, generous, and fun. She was a devout Catholic attending St. Benedicts Catholic Church. She also supported many charitable organizations.
She is preceded in death by her Father, Jose Medina, and her grandmother, Francisca Hernandez.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving mother Martha Medina, her siblings, Eddie (Nellie), Arturo, Ruben, Joe, Refugio, Lillian Garcia (Jorge), Lupe (Adriana), Mike (Miriam), Tony (Cara). Also surviving are 19 nieces and nephews, many god children, and 7 grandnieces and grandnephews.
