My wife Marina and I extend our sincerest condolences to the entire Hernandez Family and Genie in their moment of grief and loss. My longtime friend from East Brownsville Elementary and on forward will be greatly missed. Frank was always lighthearted and quick to smile and loyal to his friends. He was one of the stars in our basketball team that won the Brownsville Elementary Schools basketball championship back in 1959 for East Brownsville Elementary School. Frank and I lost touch after graduating High School in 1965 but, reconnected again 2015 when he moved back to South Texas. Once when we were talking he reminded me of the time when we were kids and playing outside in my neighborhood. It got late in the afternoon and he was about to head home to Buena Vida when my dear Mom invited him to stay and have dinner with us. Such was the heart of this man, always appreciative and complimentary of good deeds. He was the bravest soul that I will ever meet in battling his medical condition. He never complained whenever we talked or got together for Lunch or Dinner. He was always steadfast in his faith and commitment to his Lord. His daughters and son are very proud of him I am certain. I will miss Frank. May he Rest in Peace. Prax Garcia BHS 1965

He was a gentle soul, blessed are the peace makers. Always ready to bend your ear. He was great council when you needed it and a friend. Never bashful about taking your needs to the Lord in prayer. The world is a lessor place without you. Thank you brother for your friendship. -Aaron Voreis
