Obituary of Alfonso Adrian Garcia
Alfonso Adrian Garcia , 56, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Harlingen, Texas.
He was a speech teacher at Weslaco East High School and a UIL debate coach for Weslaco High School. He was recognized to the bowling hall of fame. He also enjoyed working as a dispatcher for the San Benito and Harlingen Police Departments. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfonso Garcia as well as his paternal grandmother, Lucinda Garcia.
Alfonso is survived by his mother; Sara S. Garcia, 3 sisters; Cristina Doria, Patricia (Gerardo) Farias and Clarissa Garcia, nephews and nieces; Valerie Garcia, Anselmo Doria III, Gerardo Farias Jr. (JJ), Belicia Doria, Monica P. Farias, Juliana Palomares and Janessa Garcia, as well as his lifetime friend Tom Hushen.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. accordance to his wishes cremation to follow.
