Domingo Nolasco Gutierrez, 67, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017 in Harlingen, Texas. Domingo was an amazing father, husband, son and brother. He was loved by so many people because of his good nature, humbleness, sense of humor and willingness to always help others. He was an educator for many years and continued substitute teaching after retiring in 2015. He was a proud Army Veteran who served his country in the Vietnam War. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father: Trinidad Gutierrez and his grandfather Domingo Nolasco as well as his grandmother Eulalia Barrera. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife; Olivia H. Gutierrez as well as his daughter; Elisa Lynn Gutierrez: son; Christopher Joseph Gutierrez, mother; Paulina Nolasco Gutierrez, brother; Genaro Gutierrez and sister in law Mary Elma Tamez Gutierrez from Watauga, Texas. niece; Felicia Marie Gutierrez (Ricardo Anthony Salazar)., nephew; Thomas Gutierrez as well as his great-nephews Vincent Anthony and Johnathan Federico Salazar from North Richland Hills, Texas. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, with burial following at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
