My heart aches to hear of this great loss. Primo Ramon was one of a kind. We had some great times on the streets of bayside, on the football field and on the water. One of the toughest guys I ever knew, yet had the biggest heart you can imagine. I hadn't talked to Ramon in good long while and just two weeks ago he called me just to say hello and see how my family and I were doing. As always extending that invitation to go fishing next time I was in town. We spoke about my Son Manny and baseball and I could hear it in his voice how excited he was to hear that Manny was a catcher just as he was. Ramon didn't know this, but he was on speaker in my truck and Manny listened very closely all the great advice he asked that I give him. I mentioned that he was struggling at bat and he told me that it would come. He was right. Just last weekend Manny was hitting the ball harder and farther than he had been. Thanks to Ramon's words of encouragement and advice. He will be dearly missed, but one day we will be all together again so I don't dare say goodbye. Rest in peace Primo Ramon. We'll see you on the other side. PORT ISABEL TARPON #40 forever in our hearts!
Megan, Emily and my Ochoa family, I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all! I love you all!

My condolences to Ramon's family. Megan and Emily, you don't know me but I am a long time friend of your Dad's. Your Dad was one of the nicest, friendliest, toughest person I knew and I am honored to have called him my friend. He was a captain on the water and on the football field. My heart and prayers are with you. His flesh is gone but his spirit is still with you. My Tarpon brother I will see you on the other side but until then enjoy your new journey with our Lord.
