Maria Guadalupe Holland, 86, of Port Isabel, Texas, born December 8, 1929, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 15, 2016 in Brownsville, Texas. She was resident of Port Isabel, Texas and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church as well as The Guadalupanas. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Teodoro Holland; and one daughter, Maria de Los Angeles Ruiz. Surviving Maria are her children: Maria Rivera, Marta (Benjamin) Holland, Edward (Mary) Holland, Curtis Sixto (Teresa) Holland, Agnes (Rolando) Holland Garcia, Teodoro (Diana) Holland III, Elizabeth Marie (Sergio) Holland Ortega; 21 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Monday, July 18, 2016 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St in Port Isabel, Texas from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
