Eladio "Larry" Muñoz, Jr., 58, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2015 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Larry was born in Port Isabel, Texas and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where he was raised at an early age. He worked as a Land Surveyor with Urban Engineering Company for over 34 years before retiring in 2012. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan who enjoyed hunting and barbequing with his cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Eladio Muñoz, Sr. Left to treasure his memories is his mother, Maria T. Muñoz; three sisters: Gloria (Santiago) Sandoval, Ida (David) Villanueva, and Belinda (Frankie) Perez; two brothers, Gustavo (Dora) Muñoz and Rolando Muñoz; and seven nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Pallbearers included Ernie Puente, Tony Puente, Roger Salinas Jr., Paul Salinas, Wesley West and Johnny Watts.
