Juana V. Alaniz, 84, of San Benito, TX, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Benancio Alaniz; and one son, Julian Alaniz.
She is survived by three sons: Luis (Maria) Alaniz, Angel (Janie) Vasquez, and Martin Vasquez; five daughters: Magdalena Segueda, Marina (Jose) Hernandez, Felipa Buenrostro, Guillermina (Serbando) Perales, and Sonia (Jesus) Reyes; her sister, Beatriz Vasquez and daughter-in-law Guadalupe Alaniz; She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 1, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Iglesia Cristiana Emmanuel, 335 Corral St. in San Benito (956) 241-0547. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
