Rio Hondo, TX - Ruben Garcia Galvan Sr., 67 of Rio Hondo, TX, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Vibra Specialty Hospital in Dallas.
He preceded in death by his mother, Pascuala G. Galvan; 1 brother, Luis Galvan and 1 sister, Sofia Garcia;
He survived by his father, Natividad Galvan Sr. of Rio Hondo; 2 Sons, Ruben Galvan Jr. of San Benito and Leroy Galvan of North Richland Hills, Texas; 2 Daughters, Dora Lee Sotelo of Dunkinville, Texas and Sandra Lee Oliva of Dallas, Texas. 15 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren; 2 brothers, Natividad Galvan Jr. and Arturo Galvan; 3 Sisters, Frances Galvan Clayton, Gregoria C. Gomez, and Gloria Galvan; and 4 Stepsisters;
Visitation will begin today Sunday November 30, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday December 01, 2008 at 12 Noon at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Interment will follow to Las Yescas Cemetery in Rio Hondo, Texas.
