Obituary of Peggy McLouth

Port Isabel/ Harlingen, Texas - Peggy Sue McLouth, 68, of Port Isabel, passed away on November 24, 2008 at her residence.
Peggy came down to the valley in 1980 from Indiana and started work at Fisherman's Inn in Port Isabel and soon became known as the "Singing Waitress" dressed in her high heels clicking against the floor, she also met her soon to be husband, Phil McLouth.
Peggy has loved living in the Rio Grande Valley. She has made many, many friends and will miss spending time with all of you. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest; dancing, singing, laughing and helping anyone who needed help with no questions asked.
Peggy was joined in Port Isabel by her two sons, Scott and Dan and later grandson, Zac, who now resides in Houston. Scott died in an accident in 1985, but Dan remained in the area.
She is preceded in death by her son, Scott Reeves, Oct. 1985; Her parents, Albert Leeper and Tressa Irene Zandstra; 2 sisters, Mary Leeper and Penny Becze; and 2 stepfathers, Edward Zandstra and Michael Becze;
Peggy Sue is survived by her husband, Phillip McLouth of Port Isabel; her son, Dan (Rachel) Reeves of Port Isabel; grandson, Zac (Allison) Reeves of Houston; 1 great granddaughter, Aubrey; 2 step-grandchildren, Kris Ledezma and Debby Silguero; and 2 step-great granddaughters, Lindsey Ledezma and Shelby Silguero; 2 brothers, Mike Becze and Jeff (Mary) Becze both of Indiana; 5 sisters, Margie (Anthony) Petrilli of Conninecut; Linda Prince of Indiana; Jennie (Robin) Baker of Arizona; Beverly Zandstra of Colorado; and Brenda (Lee) Soto of Indiana; several nephews, nieces and other relatives.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday , November 26, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home located at 395 S. Sam Houston in San Benito, with Pastor Steve Hyde officiating.
