Esther Rivera, 81, of San Benito, TX, was called home on Thursday, January 15, 2015 surrounded by her family at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, German H. Rivera; and her parents: Pedro and Guadalupe Sauceda Fernandez. She is survived by her seven sons: Arnulfo Rivera, Francisco Rivera, Arturo Rivera, Javier Rivera, Jaime Rivera, Jerman D. Rivera, and Jesus Rivera; her eight daughters: Maria B. Martinez, Rejina Bocanegra, Guadalupe Aguilera, Margarita Figueroa, Ninfa Ester Aboytes, Dora Alicia Vasquez, Griselda Sandoval, and Belia Narvaes; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Thomae Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ashland Cemetery in Harlingen, TX.
