Alberto Azua Perez was born in Chihuahua Mexico to Alberto Azua and Maria Perez Azua and passed away at his residence in Port Isabel on the 11th of January 2015 at the age of 68 surrounded by his loved ones. He and his family moved to Texas as a child and he eventually became a naturalized U.S. citizen in January 1971. Alberto attended and graduated High school in Plainview, Texas and was a graduate of Texas Tech University receiving a degree as a Radiologist Laboratory Technician. Alberto known as (Beto) by his friends had great sense of humor. Beto was employed at Walmart where loved telling jokes making everyone around him laugh. Beto and his wife Dorothy enjoyed shopping at local flea markets and various yard sales seeking an endless supply of bargains! Beto loved to fishing with Dorothy's grandchildren and was known as Popo. Alberto was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather he will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Maria Perez Azua and Alberto Azua. Alberto was survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann Guerin; siblings: Salavdor, Jesse, Blanca, and Olga; his children: Gloria (Jason) Azua-Munford, Albert T. (Dawn) Azua, and Elizabeth Ann (Christopher) Macey; and his grandchildren: Ashley, Nia, Cole, and Tanner. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St in Port Isabel, Texas.
