San Benito, Texas- Marcos Torres, 80, passed away June 22, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He was born and raised in San Benito, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle that will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by both parents, Tomas Torres and Gregoria Reyes; and his brothers: Simon, Moises, and Marcelino. He is survived by his loving wife, Olga Torres; his children: Guadalupe, Yolanda (Jose) Padilla, Narcisco, Marcos, Jr.(Simona) , Alberto, Graciela, and Rolando; his sisters: Reyes Gutierrez and Carmen Gonzales; grandchildren: Amanda, Josie, Joey, Samantha Padilla, Alberto Jr., Mary Lou, Anthony, Ruben, Jennifer, Monica, Debbie, Marcos Torres III, Luis, Edgar, Dulce, and Perla; He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Committal service will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
