Monica H. Sanchez, 77, of Port Isabel, Texas entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 25, 2014. Monica was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel, Texas. She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, donated cakes and volunteered for the church C.C. E. bake sales for many years. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death her parents, Antonio and Teresa Zurita Hernandez; two brothers, Silverio Hernandez and Julian Hernandez; and two sisters, Guadalupe H. Galvan and Geronima "Nema" Hernandez. She leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Juan G Sanchez, Sr.; two daughters, Sonia (Michelle) Sanchez and Monica (Arturo) Guillen; one son, Juan (Nora) Sanchez, Jr; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and two sisters: Dominga "Minga" Londrie and Stefanie Price. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. from 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Lomgoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
