Obituary of Maria Molina

Maria Luisa "Licha" Molina, 84, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal peace on Monday, December 22, 2014. She was born in Ciudad Madero, Mexico on August 5, 1930.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Jesus Molina Sr.; and her parents, Josepha and Felipe Martinez.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her 9 children: Jose Jesus (Mary) Molina of Dallas, Lupita Zurita of Harlingen, Lydia Castillo of Brownsville, Santos (Rosalinda) Molina of Brownsville, Billy (Leigh) Molina of Oahu, Hawaii, Zonia (Robert) Zamora of Port Isabel, Carlos (Beatriz) Molina of Port Isabel, Griselda (Pedro) Rodriguez of Port Isabel, and Jose Luis (Melissa) Molina of Harlingen; 26 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beatriz Martinez of Port Isabel.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A funeral mass will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Cremation will follow in accordance to her wishes.
Pallbearers include Robert Zamora Sr., Robert Zamora Jr., German Castillo Jr., Javier Castillo, Carlos Molina., Santos Molina, Jose Luis Molina, and Eddie Rodriguez.
The family would like to thank all those who cared for her during her last illness. The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to Gentiva Hospice for their support in her final days.
