William Dean Hampton Sr., 64, of Los Fresnos and Port Isabel, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Bayou Vista, TX. William was involved in construction all his life working in the Los Fresnos, Port Isabel and South Padre Island areas. He also served as a Deacon with the First Baptist Church of Los Fresnos and Port Isabel. He was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam era. William was also a member of the American Legion Post #632 of Los Fresnos. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Arthur Hampton and sister Brenda Fletcher. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Vicki Jane Hampton of Los Fresnos,TX, his two sons; William Dean (Kathy) Hampton Jr. of Tucson, AZ and Curtis Charles (Julissa) Hampton of Dickinson,TX His one daughter, Dawn Michelle Rivera of Los Fresnos,TX. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Ashlee, Felicia, Miranda, Devyn, Daeyah,Taj, Cameron, Victoria, Alex, Ashlee, Victor and Teresa. William is also survived by his mother Valena Irene Hampton of St. Charles, MO., and brother Darrell Charles Hampton of St. Charles, MO. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 1:00PM to 2:00 PM with services starting at 2:00 PM hat First Baptist Church, 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Los Fresnos, TX 78566.
