Port Isabel, TX - Maria Luz Long of Port Isabel, TX passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownville, TX She is preceded in death by her husband Earl C. Long and a daughter Ana Maria Garcia. She is survived by her daughters, Maria Louisa Ruiz, Andrea Cuellar, Loli (Tony Vasquez) Monroy; sons, Javier Monroy and Jose Manuel Monroy; 8 granddaughters; 6 grandsons; 5 great-granddaughters; 4 great-grandsons, his sister, Carmen Ortega; a niece and other relatives. Visitations will be held today, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Chapel in San Benito; and will continue from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M at Templo Maranatha, 401 E. Madison in Port Isabel. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Templo Maranatha. Cremation will follow services.
