Port Isabel, TX- Jose Francisco Herrera, 62, of Port Isabel, Texas passed away November 01, 2008 at his residence. He was a native of San Luis Potosi, Mexico and a Port Isabel, Texas resident. He was a member of Our Star of the Sea Catholic Church and an owner of Panchos Country Kitchen in Port Isabel and Los Fresnos, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Father, Augustine Hernandez and mother, Agricula (Panchita) Herrera Rodriguez; 2 brothers, Pedro and Santos Guzman; brothers and sisters Hernandez; 1 nephew, Baby Juan Ibarra. Mr. Herrera is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Maria Isabel Herrera; a son, Jose Francisco (Darlene) Herrera; 1 daughter, Norma Lee Herrera; 3 grandchildren, Jose Francisco Herrera III, Peter Isaih Herrera and Michael Ray Herrera; 2 sisters, Maria Agapita (Juan) Ibarra and Margarita (Dario) Martinez; nieces, nephews and many local, valley and winter Texan friends, especially, Mr. Mrs. Leroy Addison, Mr. and Mrs. Bill King and Evah Long. Visitation will be held today, Monday, November 3, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas. Visitation will resume Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 12:00 noon with a Funeral Mass to begin at 3:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel. Committal service will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
