Obituary of Delfina Sanchez

Delfina Sanchez, 90, of San Benito, Texas entered into eternal life on November 25, 2014.
Delfina attended St. Theresa Catholic Church for many years and worked with HEB Canning Company in Corpus Christi, alongside her sister, Alicia, for 20 years. Tia Fina will be remembered for her laughter, faith, and love she shared with all of us.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Dolores Vasquez Sanchez; and two brothers, Luis Sanchez and Jesus Ramirez.
She is survived by her sisters: Alicia Sanchez of San Benito, Texas, Hilda (Angel) Garcia of Aurora, Illinois, Severa Gonzales of San Benito, Texas; and sister-in-law, Lydia Sanchez, also of San Benito, Texas. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews whom she helped throughout the years and loved her dearly: Gracie Miranda of San Benito, Luis (Benita) Sanchez of Harlingen, Emerita (Rey) Miranda of San Benito, Enedelia (Jose) Claudio of San Benito, Lourdes (Joe) Silva of Harlingen; and her nieces and nephews from Illinois: Dolores, Angel (Noelle), Eloy (Ana), Carmen, and Eddie (Starr) Garcia; great-nephew, Joe Silva III of Dallas; great-nieces, Kaila and Faith Silva of Harlingen who she helped take care of.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
Serving as pallbearers are: Luis Sanchez, Jr., Joe Silva, Jr., Joe Silva III, Rey Miranda, Joseph Claudio, and Juan Garcia.
We would like to thank the Sunshine Haven nurses and staff, as well as Gentiva Hospice Staff for the genuine concern and care for our aunt during her last days.
