San Benito, TX. - Daniel Atkinson, Sr., 95, of San Benito, TX, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Solara Hospital in Harlingen, TX.
He is preceded in death by his son, Ramiro Atkinson.
Mr. Atkinson is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Julia G. Atkinson; five children: Dominga (Sotero) Conde, Irma (Pedro) Munoz, Vicente (Maria) Atkinson, Juanita (Jesus) Vega, and Daniel Atkinson, Jr.; He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, as well as other relatives.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 10, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
