Jose C. Delgado, 73, of Charlotte Texas, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Jose loved the beach, fishing, and la musica de accordion. He shared these passions with his loved ones to the very end. He was preceded in death by his father, Telesforo Delgado Sr., his mother, Rita C. Delgado, his sister, Dominga D. Chavez, and his brothers, Ramon C. Delgado and Telesforo Delgado Jr. Jose is survived by his son, Jose (Becky) Delgado Jr. of San Antonio Texas; his daughter, Anita Delgado of Charlotte Texas; his siblings: Pedro Delgado, Adolfo Delgado, Alfredo (Isabel) Delgado, and Ana M (Victor) Ortega; his grandchildren: Joseph Delgado, Josephine Delgado and Ezekiel Delgado; and his countless nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 10 am to 9 pm, with a Christian Service at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, September 8, 2014 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Ruben Delgado, Clemente Delgado, Alfredo Delgado Jr., Ramon Delgado Jr., Michael Ortega, and Benito Cavazos.
