San Benito, TX- Ruben L. Garcia Sr. 70, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was a native of La Paloma, Texas and long time resident of San Benito, Texas. He will always be loved and remembered by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Francisco and Elvira Garcia;1 daughter, Norma Alicia Cruz; a sister, Angelita G. Garcia; 3 brothers, Alfredo, Ramiro, and Lionel Garcia. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife of 43 years Olga R. Garcia; 2 sons, Ruben L (Dolly) Garcia Jr. and Luis Carlos Garcia; 1 grandson, Christopher Jason Cruz; 1 brother, Eddie (Gloria) Garcia and other relatives. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 12 PM to 9 PM with rosary at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito, Texas. Services will conclude after the Mass. Cremation will follow to Sacred Park Crematorium in Weslaco, Texas.
