Santos O. Rodriguez, 68, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on May 31, 2014 in Harlingen, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandfather who raised him as a son, Marcos Rodriguez and his mother, Simona Casanova. He is survived by his former wife, Yolanda Rodriguez; his children: Geneva M. Cantu, Isfrain Morin, Ailene R. (John B.) Ortega, Erika (Abel) Leal, and Jessica Y. Rodriguez; two brothers, Fernando and Jose Luis Casanova; his sister, Marilu Casanova; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm, with a chapel service at 1:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes. Inurnment will be held at graveside at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
