Obituary of Santiago Castillo

Santiago "Jimmy" Castillo, age 64, of San Benito, Texas, entered into rest on May 28, 2014.
Jimmy served with the United States Army in which he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal w/DVC 60.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marta G. Castillo, father, Jose P. Castillo, and sister, Delia Ojeda.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Yvonne Fromme; son-in-law, Rudy Fromme; brothers: Joe Castillo, Bernie Castillo, Douglas Garrety, Douglas Riley, and Raul Ojeda; sisters, Kelly C. Garrety and Iris C. Riley; and grandson, Sabastian Fromme; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park with full military honors to be conducted by Post 43 John Hansen of Brownsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
