Emma, My deepest sympathies to you and your family in the loss of your sister. Ivy told me you just lost your mother a week earlier. Your Mother and Sister were wonderful people. Condolences go out to the family from your family in Houston. I had the opportunity of meeting her in Brownsville when we had the GARZA family reunion three years ago and I could see what a wonderful strong person she was. She is in a pain-free place now.

Emma and family, Sorry to hear about Belinda's passing. May you find comfort in knowing she is no longer in pain and that the Lord called her home where she would not be afraid because your Mom will always be beside her. My family used to live across the street from Belinda and her parents back in the 1990s. Belinda was a wonderful young woman, very faithful to her family and so enthusiastic about life. Her mom, Lula. took care of my daughter, Amanda, and Belinda was always like a big sister to her. I loved this family a lot and am so sad to see both Lula and Belinda gone but hopeful that they are both with the Lord today enjoying the glory of God in heaven. God bless you Roque, Emma, Imelda and Roel and your families. You are in our prayers. Formerly Alice de la Garza now known as Annie Leos.

I was saddened to hear of Belinda's passing. I met her at the cancer center here in Brownsville. I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer and I was sobbing alone in the lobby. Belinda came up to me and told me to have faith and that I would be ok, she took from her purse a rock with the word faith on it and fave it to me. I still have that rock it sits next to me on my nightstand. Belinda was an inspiration to me. Belinda my friend, no more suffering, no more ugly medicine.Fly high my friend. Love rosie

I will never forget the messages and thoughts we shared on your timeline. The heartaches of living with your illness must have been tremendous. Yet you inspired us with your positive attitude and outlook on life. You definitely had a great resource in your family. They raised you right, like most folks in PI were back when we we were growing up. I'm mostly grateful for having knowing you personally from our high school days. May your light always shine the brightest from heaven. You will always be missed but your memory will live on in all our hearts. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming to all.
