Obituary of Ruben Castillo

Ruben Castillo, 55, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 3, 2014, surrounded by family members in his home in Los Fresnos, Texas.
Ruben was born on September 14, 1958, the youngest son of the late Pedro and Altagracia Castillo. He was predeceased in death by two sisters, Catalina Castillo and Raquel Castillo Ramirez.
He leaves loving memories to be cherished by his loving sisters, Maria (Guadalupe) Castro, Amparo "Amy" (Alfredo) Vega, and Rosa V. Castillo; his brothers: Inocencio (Rosa B.) Castillo, Santiago (Julia) Castillo, and Fernando (Lupita) Castillo; numerous nieces, nephews, and his loyal chihuahua, "Chico", all of Los Fresnos, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 at Our Heavenly Father Catholic Church in Olmito, Texas. Burial to be followed at Los Cuates Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are his nephews: Ruben Castillo, Danny Castillo, Eric Vega, Rudy Ramirez, Albert Castillo, and Alfredo Vega, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfredo Castillo, Jimmy Castillo, Chris Vega, Santiago Castillo, Jr., Fernando Castillo, Jr., Alfredo "Boy" Vega III, and David Joseph Mendez.
