Apolinar Hernandez, Sr., 92, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal life on April 2, 2014 at his residence in San Benito, TX. He was a devoted Christian who served the Lord till his very last breath. Apolinar was a humble man with lots of love for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe Hernandez and Romana Garcia; his wife, Guadalupe Barrera Hernandez; and a daughter, Maria Elena Hernandez. Surviving him is his children, Jesus Hernandez, Jose Angel Hernandez, Jorge Hernandez, Guadalupe Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez, Apolinar Hernandez, Jr., Alicia Fernandez, Juan Hernandez, Carlos Hernandez; grandchildren, Isabel and Ramiro Hernandez along with many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; two brothers; one sister; and numerous other relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A Chapel service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2013 at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Interment will follow to Garza Cemetery in El Ranchito, TX.
