Jose H. Betancourt, 68, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal life on March 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe and Josefa Hernandez Betancourt; his sister, Maria Rivera; two brothers: Roberto and Cesario Betancourt; and his nephew/godson, Lupito Hernandez, Jr; sister, Maria Rivera ; brothers, Cesario betancourt and Roberto Betancourt Surviving him is his loving wife of 39 years, Maria Magdalena Betancourt; three sons: Jose (Samantha) Betancourt, Jr., Rolando Betancourt, and Noe "Lila" Betancourt; and his grandchildren: Zoe Betancourt, Aiden Betancourt, Eliseo Betancourt, Isiaih, Leiah, and Raul; sibilings, Lorenzo Betancourt, Lupe (Maria) Betancourt, Ramiro(Maria) Betancourt, Juanita (Jesus) Garcia and Pola (Dulce) Gallegos Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Mass of resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
