Irma Cavazos Ortiz, 61, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2014 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernesto Galvan Cavazos and Trinidad Contreras Cavazos. She is survived by her husband, Abel Pizaña Ortiz; her children: Joel Cavazos, Norma Ortiz, and Nora Lee Ortiz (John Robert Stevens); her grandchildren: Michael Christian Zavala and Johnny Darrell Stevens; and siblings: Guadalupe Treviño, Alicia "Licha" Treviño, Ruben (Irasema) Cavazos, Ernesto Cavazos, Jr., Abel (Rosalinda) Cavazos, Estéban (Beatriz) Cavazos, Daniel Cavazos, and Esther (Reynaldo) Cavazos Rivas. Also surviving her are her In-Laws: Father-in-law, Santiago Villa Ortiz; mother-in-law, Luisa Pizaña Ortiz; sisters-in-law, Amelia P. Ortiz and Diana P. (Santiago) Ortiz Villarreal; brothers-in-law: Arturo P.( Janie) Ortiz, Daniel P. Ortiz, Alfredo P. (Maggie) Ortiz, Arnulfo P. Ortiz, Mario P. (Rita) Ortiz, and Santiago P. Ortiz; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 11:30 am to 9 pm, with a talk at 6 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
