Obituary of Sr. Infante
Please share a memory of Sr. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jose Inez Infante, Sr., 80, of San Benito, Texas, entered eternal LIFE on March 4, 2014.
He was born in Los Fresnos, Texas on March 28, 1933. Jose served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a hard-working man who never shied away from any task. Stranger to none, he sparked up conversations easily and established long lasting friendships with many. A heart-warming smile he always had, he was known as "El Neighbor" to many during his long years of residence at the Villa Apartments Community. Family will mourn the loss of our patriarch but rejoice together in his resurrection to eternal life.
Jose was preceded in death by his former wife, Marcelina V. Infante; his parents, Nicolas Infante, Sr. and Petra Infante; siblings: Nicolas Infante, Jr. and Sarita Infante; his grandson, Joe Mathew Infante; and his grandpuppy, "Martini".
Jose is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Maria Elva Infante; his children: Jose Infante, Jr. Rodolfo (Adriana) Infante, Marcy (Joe) Hazelwood, and Cindy (Charlie) Gonzales; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and siblings: Maria Infante and Santos Infante; as well as nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 11 am to 9 pm, with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 9 am on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with Monsignor Pedro Briseno officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers: Jose Infante, Jr., Rodolfo Infante, Jr., Kristopher Infante, Eric Infante, Charlie Gonzales, and Jesse Tamayo.
