Los Fresnos, Texas: Cenovio "Cheno" Garcia, 73, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away on July 7, 2008 at his residence surrounded by his loving family Mr. Garcia was a Veteran of the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in April 04, 1963. He is preceded in death by his parents, Natividad and Guadalupe Garcia; an uncle, Enrique Garcia; and 2 sisters, Teresa Garcia and Eudelia Sanchez. He survived by his loving wife, Elisa Garcia of Los Fresnos; former wife, Maria Alvarez of Los Fresnos; His Loving Daughters, Melinda (Juan) Garza of Los Fresnos; Nora Lee (Neil) Stone of Baton Rouge, LA; and Elisa (Felipe) Garza of Los Fresnos; a sister, Guadalupe Ramirez; 2 brothers, Natividad Garcia, Jr. and Jose Garcia all of El Ranchito, TX; and his grandchildren, Justin, Aaron, and Miranda Garza; Marissa and Carson Stone; Felicia and Corbin Garza. Visitation will be held today, Tuesday July 8, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 9, 2008 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos officiating by Deacon Paul McArdle. Interment will follow to Los Cuates Cemetery in Los Fresnos, Texas with Military Honors conducted at the graveside by the American Legion Post 205 and V.F.W. Post 2410 of Harlingen and San Benito.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Justin Garza, Aaron Garza, Pepe Ramirez, Johnny Sanchez, Roy Garcia, and Rolando Garcia. Words of comfort can be sent to the family of Cenovio Garcia at www.thomaegarza.com
