Jose Jesus "Chucho" Molina, Sr., 91, of Port Isabel., Texas, entered into eternal peace on Monday, February 17, 2014.
He was born in Ciudad Victoria, Mexico on August 1, 1922, to the late Macaria and Santos Molina. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mario Molina.
He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his wife, Maria Luisa Molina; 9 children: Jose Jesus (Mary) Molina Jr of Dallas,; Lupita Zurita of Harlingen, Lydia Castillo of Brownsville, Santos (Rosalinda) Molina of Brownsville, Billy (Leigh) Molina of Oahu, Hawaii, Zonia (Robert) Zamora of Port Isabel, Carlos (Beatriz) Molina of Port Isabel, Griselda (Pedro) Rodriguez of Port Isabel, Jose Luis (Melissa) Molina of Harlingen; 26 grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 5 pm to 9 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 from 12 pm to 4 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home and from 6 pm to 9pm, with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel.
Mass of resurrection will be held at 10 am on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are: Robert Zamora Sr., Robert Zamora Jr., German Castillo Jr., Carlos Molina Jr, Joshua A Molina., Santos Molina, Jose Luis Molina, and Eddie Rodriguez.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Odyssey Hospice for their support in his final days.
