Maria Celia Peña, 47, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on February 8, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Celia was born January 17, 1967 in San Benito, Texas to the late Guadalupe and Teodora Conde. She was a beloved, fun loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and frie nd who loved to dance and always brought a smile to your face. She always knew how to bring the family together. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Conde and Samuel Conde; and one sister, Celia Conde. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Beatriz (Andres) Peña, Marissa Ann (Noe) Peña, and Kassandra Peña; four grandchildren: Nathan Ray Hernandez, Faustino Hernandez, Jr., Andres Rios, Jr, and Jadelyn Nevaeh Torres; two brothers: Guadalupe (Yolanda) Conde, Jr. and Rodolfo Conde; and three sisters: Ermelinda (Elias) Cantu, Ana Maria Conde, and Rosa Anna Conde. She also left behind numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as well. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 12 noon to 9 pm, with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito, with Father Isaac Erondu officiating. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito. The family would like to thank the staff on the oncology floor at Valley Baptist Medical Center, Odyssey Hospice, and Dr. Laura Cisneros for the wonderful care she received.
