Maria Luisa Navarro, 77, of Brownsville, Texas, went home to be with God on February 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Navarro, and brother, Jose Tarango. Left to cherish her memory are her children: San Juanita (Manuel) Medrano, Criselda (Roy) Montes, Manuel (Vickie) Navarro, and Sylvia Patricia (Mike) Cantu; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2014 from 12 noon to 9 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Valley International Christian Center in San Benito. Interment will follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Brownsville, Texas.
