Maria Leticia Abramson, 55, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on January 30, 2014. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gerardo Cruz. Surviving her is her daughter, Sade Antoinette Abramson; parents: Jeronimo and Beatriz Cruz; three sisters: Carmela (Sebastian) Lopez, Ana (Rolando Garcia) Cruz, and Veronica Cruz; sister-in-law, Mary Cruz, Roxanne Leos; four nephews: Jerry Lopez, Sebastian "Freddy" (Ashley) Lopez, Jr., Caleb Cruz, and Benjamin Du; and three nieces: Briana (Nathan) Harris, Bonnie Du, and Briana Du. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 from 12 noon to 4 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue from 6 pm to 9 pm, with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 10 am on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Sebastian A. Lopez, Sr., Jerry Lopez, Sebastian A. Lopez, Jr., Caleb Cruz, Benjamin Du, and Jose Ignacio Del Rio.
