Maria Esthela E. "Patricia" Zamora, 67, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2014 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Valente and Maria de Jesus Negrete-Echeverria; and one sister, Yolanda Echevarria. Surviving her is her husband, Raul Zamora, Jr.; three sons: Felipe De Jesus (Noelia) Zamora of Los Fresnos, Gustavo (Gloria) Zamora of Spokane, Washington, and Marco Antonio (Rosie) Zamora of Harlingen; two daughters, Liliana Zamora of Laguna Vista and Tricia (Patrick) Bodden Martinez of Kyle, Texas; and six grandchildren: Raul Andres "Ram" Zamora, Daviana Zamora, Celeste Madrid Zamora, Roman Michael Zamora, Sydney Isabela Martinez, and Marley Elena Martinez. Also surviving her is four siblings: Angelina Echeverria, Olivia Echeverria, Francisco Echeverria, and Valente Echeverria, as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 from 12 noon to 4:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St., Port Isabel, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers: Ram Zamora, Felipe De Jesus Zamora, Gustavo Zamora, Marco Antonio Zamora, J. C. Zamora, Juan Jose Zamora, Jr, Edward Chavez, and David Zamora.
