San Benito, TX - Regina Cardona, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2014 at her residence in San Benito, TX. Regina is preceded in death by her husband, Esteban Cardona of 37 years; her daughter, Dolores Cardona; her son and daughter in law, Lionel Cardona and Maria Del Carmen Cardona. She is survived by Janie C. Garcia, Ernesto (Alicia) Cardona, Oscar (Terry) Cardona, Antonio Cardona, Esteban Cardona, Jr., Petra Gonzalez, Robles (Nacho) Garcia, Victoria (Beta) Morales; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Samuel, Lupe, Juan Jr., Ernesto Jr., Christopher, and Miguel.
