I am sadden by the loss of Grandma and she will be greatly missed. I would have liked to have spent more time with her and would have liked to have known her better. Unfortunately, distance is to blame. I do however, have many memories of our summer vacations being spent at her house. I recall her always attending her garden and her dog. She loved receiving us with menudo as it was my dad's favorite dish. I have great admiration for her, for she was a strong independant woman who raised a family all on her own. She was a great example to her children as my father has told me about her. She will be truly be missed. Love you, Grandma

I will miss my grandmother! I always wished we had lived closer, as to have truly gotten to know her well. I will always remember my summers at her house. They bring me fond memories of happiness and laughter. My grandma always made sure we felt welcomed and loved. I have two very clear memories of her.....she loved her garden and her dog! My grandmother was a strong, independent woman who had a great deal of integrity. Although I don't know all her life struggles, I know she was an amazing mother, as I see that in my own father! I have always admired my grandma. She was both mother and father, strong, independent, and dedicated to her work, her family, and The Lord! I will always have a special place for grandma in my heart. I will truly miss her.

I am Jackie Rosas,granddaughter of Ralph and Petra Garza, great grand daughter of Juanita Garza. I am very sadden to hear of the passing of my great-grandma.Although, I didn't see her very often due to distance, I had the opportunity to spend time with her last year during my summer vacation.During my visit, I observed she was very independent and was very loved and respected by family members. I especially noticed the love she had for her garden and her dog Chiquita. She would wake up early in the morning to make her rice. I enjoyed the family dinners we had that allowed me to get to know her better.I remember her making menudo for us which was her way of demostrating her love and affection. One memory that really stands out is of my great-grandma and my grandma(Petra)reading the scriptures together on the swing, I could see that my great-grandmother really enjoyed that as did my grandma. I will cherish the moments I had with her.
