San Benito, TX - Manuel Aguilar, 76, passed away Friday, June 13, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He was a native and life long resident of San Benito, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife Serveriana T. Aguilar; 1St Child Jose Luis Aguilar 1st.
Mr. Aguilar is survived by his children her sons, Jose Luis (Josie) Aguilar, Ernesto Aguilar, Richard Aguilar and Manuel Aguilar Jr.; 2 Daughters Anna Maria (Sam) Gomez and Linda Aguilar; Long time companion Jovita Aguilar; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ascencion (Linda) Aguilar and Antonio (Arcetia) Aguilar; 6 sisters, Maria Magdalena Noyola, Aurora (Ignacio) Rodriguez, Olivia (Justo) Puente, Luisa (Lupe) Oralia (Joe) Hernandez and Antonia (Enrique) Armenda.
Visitation will be held today, June 15, 2008 from 12:00 Noon to 9:00 P.M. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Chapel service will be held 2 PM. on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Thomae Garza funeral Home chapel. Committal service will follow to San Benito City Cemetery in San Benito; Texas with Military Honors will be conducted by American Legion Post # 205.
