Margarita D. Sanchez, 74, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on December 20, 2013. Margarita was a member of the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church and a lifetime resident of Port Isabel. She worked for Bayside Net and Twine for many years until retiring in 1985. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesus Delgadillo, Sr.; mother, Pilar Avila; brother, Jose Delgadillo; sister-in-law, Hermelinda Delgadillo; and brother-in-law, Cruz Hernandez. Surviving her is her husband, Eduardo R. Sanchez of Port Isabel; five children: Eduardo (Alberta) Sanchez, Jr, Agustin (Judy) Sanchez, Suzanna (Michael) Holland, Leticia (Anthony) Del Genovese, and Gustavo (Cynthia) Sanchez; four brothers: Miguel Delgadillo, Juan Delgadillo, Jesus (Antonia) Delgadillo, Jr., and Alfredo Delgadillo; and five sisters: Rosa (Mauricio) Sanchez, Maria (Daniel) Vega, Juana (Peter) Gonzalez, Lupita Hernandez, and Carmen (Ray) Rios. Also surviving her is her sister-in-law, Estefana Delgadillo, 13 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St in Port Isabel. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are: Ricardo Sanchez, Fabian Sanchez, Joseph Sanchez, Anthony Holland, Daniel Holland, Andrew Holland, Michael Holland, and Anthony Del Genovese.
