Angelina Zurita Martinez, 69, of Los Fresnos/Port Isabel, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Pedro and Aurora C. Zurita and one sister: Esmelda Torres.
Angelina is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Ventura Martinez; her children, Sonia (Richard) Cadengo, Santiago Martinez, Hector (Aurora) Martinez, Susana Martinez, and Rebecca (Gerardo) Sanchez; grandchildren, Amy Cadengo, Anthony Cadengo, Johnny Joe Cadengo, Daniel Cadengo, Brandon Baldovinos, Lexus Rae Martinez, Kennedy Martinez, Hector Cross Martinez, James Christus Martinez, Ventura Martinez II, Cassandra Sanchez, Erika Sanchez, Sebastian Sanchez, and Joaquin Sanchez; great grandchildren, Natalie Cisneros and Adien Cisneros; sisters, Aurora (Roberto) Ramirez, Juanita (Gonzalo) Torres, Irma Zurita, and Rosalinda Arredondo; brothers, Raul (Beatrice) Zurita and Guadalupe (Blanca) Zurita; a brother in law, Santiago Torres and other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Visitation will continue on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm at Thomae Garza Funeral Home and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Committal service will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery.
