RIO HONDO, TX. - Antonio Alfaro, 77, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2008 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. He is preceded in death by his brothers: Jose Alfaro, Guadalupe Alfaro and Sister Andrea Garza. He is survived by his wife: Antonia Alfaro, daughter: Nora Alfaro, grandsons: Eric Jaime, Adrian Jaime, Armando Salas and Fernando Salas Jr., niece: Sandra Alfaro, brothers: Genaro Alfaro, Jr., Gumecindo Alfaro, Sr., Florencio Alfaro, Sr., Eduardo Alfaro, Sr., Reynaldo Alfaro, Jesus Alfaro, Sr, and sisters: Generosa Garza and Maria Elena Rodriguez. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 12 PM to 9 PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 2 PM at St. Helen's Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Interment will follow at Rio Hondo Community Cemetery in Rio Hondo.
