San Benito, TX, - Ismael G. Benavidez, 80, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 6, 2011. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Teresa G. Benavidez and his parents, Miguel and Santos Benavidez. He is survived by his four daughters, Norma Linda Benavidez, Nelda Lee Benavidez both of Harlingen, Neida Lou Benavidez, Nidia Lita Benavidez both of San Benito; a son Noe Ismael (Della) Benavidez of Brownsville. He is also survived by one brother, Arnulfo Benavidez of San Benito, TX and one sister, Rosaura Vela of Houston, TX as well as 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren and numerous family members. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. A Chapel Service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home with Pastor Armando Escamilla of Valley Christian Assembly Church and Rev. Feliberto Pereira of Ebenezer Christian Church of Los Fresnos officiating.
