Pastor Francisco A. Cantu Jr., 75, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on September 21, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Francisco was born on March 9, 1938 in San Benito, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents: Florinda Arguelles and Francisco Cantu Sr.; and siblings: Jose Cantu, Silvestre Cantu, Carmen Guerra, Raul Cantu, and Juan Cantu. Surviving him is wife, Ofelia Cantu; his children: Norma (Eduardo) Cantu, Hilda (Ramiro) Ochoa, Ida Cantu, Florinda (Benny) Rangel, Eugenio Cantu, Diana (Elijio) Sanchez, Annie (Javier) Murillo, and Francisco (Melissa) Cantu III; 19 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Also surviving him are his siblings: Margarito Cantu, Pedro Cantu, Ricardo Cantu, Ramon Cantu, and Florinda Williams. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am at Iglesia Evangelica Cristo Es La Roca in San Benito. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
