Port Isabel, Texas: Lydia "Conchita" Baldovinos, 84 of Port Isabel, Texas passed away on May 11, 2008 at Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Francisco "Don Panchito" Baldovinos, grandson, Francisco "Frankie" Baldovinos, and brother, Salvador Lopez, and other brothers and sisters. Conchita was a lifelong resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She worked for Blackbeards Restaurant for 30 years and was a true Port Isabel Tarpon Fan. She is survived by her loving children, Martin (Alicia) Baldovinos, Yolanda Baldovinos, Maria Ismelda G. (Juan) Pina, Juan (Brenda) Baldovinos, and Maria Luisa (David) Rocha all of Port Isabel; 22 grandchildren and 38 great - grandchildren; 2 sisters, Caritina Torres and Gloria Lopez; and a brother, Genaro Lopez. Visitation will be held today Tuesday May 13, 2008 from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel. Funeral Mass will held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 14, 2008 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel and Cremation will follow at Sacred Park Crematorium.
