Mr. Martinez was born on June 3, 1924 in San Ignacio, Mexico he was a lifetime resident of San Benito, Texas and attended Queen of The Universe Catholic Church. He was self employed as a Farmer and a Welder for over 20 years. He is survived by: Daughter: Ramona O. (Domingo) Zapata San Antonio, Tx Son: Abraham G. (Olga) Martinez San Benito, Tx 9 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. 2 Brothers: Ramon (Elva) Martinez San Benito, Tx Noe (Juanita) Martinez Uvalde, Tx 3 Sisters: Barbara Martinez San Benito, Tx Emilia (Lupe) De Los Santos Rangerville, Tx Alicia Benavides Lubbock, Tx He was preceded in death by his wife; Maria C. Martinez on 8/8/2005, his parents; Jesus and Maria Estanislada Martinez, and his brother; Refugio Martinez. Serving as his Pallbearers will be: Abraham G. Martinez, Isaac Pedraza, Jr., Abraham Zapata, Domingo Zapata, Gabriel Zapata, Jessica Zapata, Irma Zapata, and Roberto Palmas. The times of service are as follows: Visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, 3/23/2007, Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., the funeral will be held on Monday, 3/26/2007 at 10:00 a.m. being held at Our Lady Queen Of The Universe Catholic Church, and interment to follow at the Mont-Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
